ICBC Coverage
If you've been in a motor vehicle accident, you're eligible for up to 12 counselling sessions within the first 12 weeks—no doctor’s referral required.
Counselling can support recovery from symptoms such as:
-
Fear of driving or being a passenger
-
Panic attacks, flashbacks, or nightmares
-
Insomnia, fatigue, or muscle tension
-
Irritability, anxiety, or low mood
At One Journey Clinical Counselling, we use evidence-based approaches, such as EMDR, Trauma-Focused ACT, CBT, and EFIT to help you heal and regain confidence. Your clinical counsellor can request additional sessions beyond the initial ICBC coverage.
CVAP Coverage
You may be eligible if you:
-
Were a victim or witness of a violent crime, including physical or sexual abuse
-
Are an immediate family member of someone affected by such crimes
Important Notes:
-
You can apply even if you’re unsure whether what you experienced is legally classified as a crime
-
Reporting the crime to the police is not required to apply
-
You may still be eligible even if the incident occurred many years ago
To learn more or to apply, visit the official CVAP website.
